The HK lab can perform pre-testing according to OEKO-TEX® methods and standards. Customers are able to check whether their products can meet the OEKO-TEX® requirements prior to certification.

HARMFUL SUBSTANCES
HARMFUL SUBSTANCES
Tests for harmful chemicals ensure legal conformity and consumer protection. Some chemicals used in textile production can be harmful to humans and the environment like the amine derivates of azo colourants, Phthalate, Alkylphenols & Alkylphenolethoxylates, Perfluorinated compounds (PFCs). However, their use is only partly regulated by law. To offer customers a high level of safety with the Hohenstein Quality Label “Harmful Substances, Workmanship”, we have developed a comprehensive test catalogue based on our many years of experience. Amongst other things, for some parameters such as allergy-inducing dyes, this goes beyond the statutory requirements list of test parameters according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® Annex 4.

WORKMANSHIP
WORKMANSHIP
The workmanship of the clothing awarded the quality label is monitored in latest production phases throughout the world by independent Hohenstein experts. In addition to sample conformity and compliance with production specifications, the quality of the workmanship and the finished sizes of the workmanship are checked through a visual assessment. The finished sizes include conformity with a predefined table of finished sizes. To test the workmanship in practice, the size accuracy of the individual material.
